I made three of them. Two for two of my '57s and one for a '57 I bought for a former girlfriend. That was in 1982/83.I made my own with a couple of angle iron pieces and a two inch pipe. I fabed it up with a couple of tack welds, then with the top of the shocks off, I lined the bar up with the shock holes, and tacked the angle iron in place. It did take me several tried to get the angles right, buy I saved fifty five bucks, that and the satisfaction that I did it my self. :anim_25:
Really has nothing to do with what type of rear end you have....Its more of a factory design failure.....The top of the shocks were mounted to the body and not the frame.I've got a stock rear end in my 55 Wagon, do I really need a shock bar in it?
Yes Sir you do. Cheapest and one of best upgrades. Also cushions road shock to you and protects your floorboard. It's a good thing. :tu LloydI've got a stock rear end in my 55 Wagon, do I really need a shock bar in it?
