I just finished spray painting my 56 belair top with 3 coats of Limco Utherane Black(3 Coats) and when I look at it from the side I can see areas that look slightly rough compared to the rest(90%) of the top. Will that polish out or do I need addition coats. How long should I wait before polishing. OH yes I am 1st time painter. Thanks for any help Jerry.

That you see is the spray pattern that you mist, I dont know if 3 coats is enough paint to be polishing on , you can sand it with 2000 grit and try if you go threw repaint it. Later Bill

More background: The top was black before with a few knick and spots so I sanded it down with 150 grit then 220 grit then 400 then 800 grit. There was mostlly black paint left just a few spot where the metal shown through. Those areas I prime and now I have 4 coats of paint. Thanks for all the input..Jerry
