Today I realized i must have forgot to order a lower ball joint results of what I found : local Autozone $78 , Rock Auto $56, Cpp $32. Auto zone and Rock Auto are the same Moog joint. I don't know what brand CPP sells.
Today I disassembled the steering linkage and Idler assemblys. Boys some of the rod ends were hard to remove, And getting everything degreased and prepped for paint tomorrow and assembly on Monday along with the centerlink repair parts. With all the 25+ year old grease in the centerlink it was also hard to get old parts out. I used carb cleaner to disolve the grease.

Sorry

Roger....Speaking of centerlink repair kits....I've seen a huge difference in price on those as well.... from a high of $92.99 at CCI: http://www.classicchevy.com/chevy-drag-link-repair-kit-1955-1957.html to a low of $34.99 at Speedway Motors:http://www.speedwaymotors.com/1955-1957-Chevy-Car-Centerlink-Repair-Kit,25202.html
But I don't buy from Speedway no matter what. I was in their store in Lincoln in 1969 and insulted by salesman. Went on to Omaha to buy the needed piece and haven't been back since. I bought the centerlink repair from CPP when I bought the steering gear.
