Evening guys and gals, I am reassembling my '57 powerglide and I am going to require a converter and flexplate to complete the job.
I have read (on another forum) that a '62 alum converter will fit if a new 168 tooth flexplate is used. Supposedly, in the early '60's, it was the fix for a bad cast iron converter after the aluminum powerglides became the norm.
I seem to remember getting rid of the originals some 20 years ago because I believed this to be true.
What do you think?

Has anyone gone this route?
