The label says 24 hrs but I have seen a shrinking issue with some of the Dupont productsin the past. Not sure if I coated it too soon or if there was another reason . I am using PPG line of products for the first time.

Thanks

Bruce, I see that more often when someone puts the base on too wet. Base is a hot material and will lift most undercoats if put on too wet and allowed to soak. It's hard not to for old guys like me who grew up on laq. Give about 20 to 30 mins between coats of base for it to let the solvents out good.

After I I posted last I was going to ask about the base coat aplication. I was wondering if that is where my problem was. What I've had is after a few days or weeks sanding marks come through:confused:

Painting Frames

On the bare frame, you sould use a very light coat of self-etching primer first, so the paint has something to stick too.
