Bottom line on rack and pinion steering is that it doesn't belong there unless you have an aftermarket frame or a front clip that was originally designed for R&P. R&P with a stock frame and crossmember has too many functional and fabrication issues and it costs more with less or detrimental benefit compared to an aftermarket steering box.
