Yes i'm wondering how to tell if my stock radio in my 57 2 door hardtop had a antenna and was it on the right front fender i've seen them on the fender and on both sides of the trunk. Just didn't know how you knew where the antenna goes i guess which radio dictates that. Thanks for any help

Originally the antenna was mounted on the passenger fender.

Dual antennas were an accessory installed item which had a couple of different ways of installation depending on your taste.

Usually there was a set of dual antennas one was on the drivers side (electric operated) & one on the passenger side which was a dummy.

RADIO

:THERE SHOULD BE A HOLE SOMEWHERE WHERE THE ANTENNA LEAD RAN TO THE RADIO PLUG IN , I DON,T THINK THE TYPE OF RADIO HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT. THAT SAID ALL MOST ALL WERE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT FENDER,,,DICK:anim_25:
