The caprice rear is around 60.7" wheel mount to wheel mount unless it's a wagon then it is around 64"... Trifives are around 60"...
You can go a little wider or narrower then use different wheel backspacing...

Here are some sites with rear width charts, use them for reference but always measure for yourself to be sure...

im using a set of speedway caliper brackets, like from a stock car, they take a gm metric caliper, and then i bought a set of drilled and slotted rotors along time ago. of course i dont know how the stock rear is, but the 9 in ford im using, i just took the backing plates off and have to weld the caliper brackets on,which im thinking the 57 rear is that way,
that is by far the cheapest way to do it, i have maybe 100 bucks in this stuff

Ive got a 70 chevelle rear in it now and want disc brakes all the way around, so the chevelle rear is 2 in wider than say a 94/96 caprice disc rear figured the extra 2inch and disc would be a plus, im not a big burn out guy so i dont need a ton or strenght just a good driver rear that stops the car on a dime;) any other ideas or proven sucess stories thks mad57
