I can't figure out how to remove the governor from the borg warner overdrive. The unit is supposed to unscrew. The wrench is a 1.5", but there is a taper and the wrench won't fit. I don't think any wrench big enough to fit the nut would fit in the small space available. I've looked up other types of borg warners and they have a larger area around the nut to put a wrench.

Thanks

If you look in the repair manual they show a special wrench.
I have a set of what I always called "pump wrenches".
Searching for these it looks like they are now called "service wrenches".
If you go to Amazon and search for " Thin Pattern Service Wrench, 1-1/2-Inch " You should find what you need.
If this is something you won't be doing much of, I would probably make my own wrench out of 3/16 plate, using a cutoff wheel in a hand grinder.
The ones I have removed weren't in tight enough to give me trouble.

Good Luck
Ernie
