There may be some generic kits out there, but I've never seen one that's specific for a 55-57.
Search here and at Chevytalk for some photos of a 56 owned by a guy with the username "oldman". He custom built one and it is well thought out and executed.
oldman's photos don't show as much detail as the ones that redneckpsd posted, but the working components on his are quite similar. His has the same slot/track for closing and latching at the cowl too, except maybe it's a bit longer with a narrower slot.
