I have decoded my cowl tag on the delivery I bought from "OldFart".
It has a style of 57-1271(delivery),body no. CL 4235(cleveland build), trim of 651(black and grey IM/L with Black IM/L) but the paint is SPL. I know this is a special paint disignation but is there a way to find out what color it would have been. I have found a blue on the sides of the cowl after I removed the front cap and under the taillights. It is the same color we used to put on the Air Force service vehicles when I was in the AF. I am wondering if this might have been a military truck. I am just tring to see what this car was to decide what way to go with her. There is also a P in the acc. witch I believe is for the passenger seat. So any way does any body have any knowledge on the caers that have the spl for paint codes? Tim
