I am restoring a 55 belair sedan and fellow car friend told me not to use the factory shock body mounts, and that the way to go is to mount a piece of tubing across the frame to mount them to. I have the body off the frame and would like to put my mount in. My concern is that i want to use 2" lowering leaf springs which will put closer to the mount,will there be shock travel issues?
