Hello All:

TH350 transmission

My questions are regarding the drive and driven gear:

Is the drive gear actually on the output shaft of the transmission thus requiring removal of the tailshaft housing to determine the number of teeth.

The driven gear is in the housing that bolts to the transmission case and the speedo cable connects to??

Thanks for the help,:confused0006::confused0006:

The speedo gear is a plastic gear that can be changed to calibrate the speedo reading. Different gear ratio gears are different colors. No need to pull the tailshaft.

Hi Chevman57:

The documentation I have read regarding selecting the proper plastic gear (colored driven gear) indicates that you need to determine the number of teeth on the drive gear to select the correct plastic gear (colored driven gear)

Thanks
