I have a '04 Nissan Frontier with the 4cyl and manual transmission. I know that I have the stock size tires on it as I bought it new and just replaced the ones I had on there with ones the same size. I know I have a speedometer error though of about 4.5 MPH, reading faster than I am actually going (says 65 when I am doing a hair over 60.)
Factory tires = 225/70/15
Replacement tires = 225/70/15
Optional tire size for that model = 265/70/15
If I run the numbers, the 265/70/15 tires will give me the correct speedometer reading. Could it be possible that someone at the factor calibrated the speedo for the optional tires instead of the ones that came on it?
