Hi, I have a 56 Handyman that I have owned for around 35 years. I don't put a lot of miles on it. 2 to 3 hundred a year. I rebuilt the orginal steering gear box a long tme ago. It has started leaking grease from the pitman arm shaft. I don't think I need to rebuild the whole box again. That seems to be the only way to get parts I need though? Any sug?

you should be able to replace just the pitman seal.[EDITED BY ADMIN FOR RULE VIOLATION]

Post that mentions other companies by name will be deleted because it has nothing to do with Danchuk.

Somewhere on this forum is the part number for a seal you can buy at the auto supply. National brand. Try a search, or maybe someone will post it.

Are you using gear oil or chassis grease? You should be using chassis grease, it won't leak nearly as much.
