After a recent incident I've decided to make her a little safer. I've seen some universal hoops, nothing specific to a '55. Suggestions?

I used a universal on my 55, I welded 2 angle iron brackets to frame, 2 x 2 1/2 x 1/4.

I was hoping for something made to fit. Looks like the universal kit from Jegs is my only way out.

Not specific, but the one I used. fabbed up some brackets and mounted it up. Pinnable so I could remove it and get it out of the way if needed.

The bolt on Lakewood unit is the simplest and easiest, espeically for a car that doesn't have a crossmember in front of the axle. And it fits pretty nicely actually. The Jeg's loop is probably very similar.

You can always custom fit it by welding instead of bolting.

I used the Competition Engineering setup on mine. I welded mine in...it stiffens up the frame too
