I just finnished up installing a set of 3.31 gears in my 12 bolt posi rearend. It had 4.11s and a ring gear spacer. since I was doing this I thought it was a good time to put on better shock mounts (art morrison type) as well as strip all the old paint etc. off the housing. made new brake lines as well. with the 4.11's it was 58mph @ 3000 rpm . hoping to be at [email protected] aroung 2500 rpm now. didn't get to put it back in the car today, it started to rain after I finished the assembly. I can't wait to be able to get it out on the freeway . After I get this done the next task is to get the exhaust run to the rearend. and get a heater in it. Might possibly buy the inside kit for a/c heat def . now and get the other parts in the spring. Also got to put in the new speedo cable so I know how fast I'm cruising :bowtieb::eek::bootyshake::bowtier:

I have a 3.55 geared 12 bolt in my 56 and its about 3000 @70mph with 11 inch TCI stall TH350 & 225/70/15. My 4 speed 55 with a 3.54 Dana 60 and 275/60/15s about the same. I am going to guess you will end up 2800.

I have 31x18.5 rear tires . according to the rpm/ gear /speed calculator it should be [email protected] 69.66 mph. I use this speed calculator and so far it has worked perfectly for the last 6 cars I built. http//www.wallaceracing.com/gear-speed.php
I just want to be able to go 70 on the freeway and not wear out the engine in 500 miles:eek::bootyshake::bowtieb::bowtier::reddy:
