It's been a long time coming, but the 57 Gasser that was started by our late great friend and brother Rick Brown (Chevender) has made a huge splash in his hometown. Dawn, Rick's wife, continued the efforts to get the car finished by sending it to Jeff Marvill, a friend of Rick's who has his own shop there in the Green Lane, PA area. Jeff did the final touches and adjustments to make it road worthy for Dawn to drive.
And drive it she did.
She got it back last week or so and today it made its first show. It was a small show and didn't get an award (this time), but the response was phenomenal. Dawn sent me some pics.

And here's the very excited and happy lady, Dawn Brown.

Though she didn't get an award, the promoters of the show personally came to her to thank her for bringing it to the show.

Dawn sends her love and many thanks to all those here at bowtie-trifive who helped bring the Dream to a reality.

Great to see the Miracle gasser and Dawn both out and about showing off.

Awards will come in due time.

Getting thanks and praise from the show promoter is many times better than an award as it means a lot more to hear the compliment than to get another dust collector.

The smile on Dawn's face says it all. I bet Rick was smiling down on her & the car too from Heaven. Gone but never forgotten.

Great car, supper lady and glade to see her and others enjoying it!:tu

But, there is always a but isn't there! If those wheels don't hold some special sentimental value, the car would look so much more correct with something more nostalgic. IMO, a set of big and little Cragers would look supper!

And paint those exhaust satin black!

Remember

So Sorry Rick didn't make it longer, The quodos for this really go to Fuzzy and the team that helped assemble the car. Thanks Guys for making Rick's dream come true. You are all gentlemen of the highest caliber.

Love to see this happen ; this forum and its members can come together and make things happen . Good to see the smile on Dawn's face , too. Is that because she parked by a 15" curb and didn't need her ladder ? Good on all who helped assemble and finish this car for Dawn ; the chevender never ends . Be safe...Bob.
