time for a new timing light. who makes a good one. what features do i need. it needs to be bright so can see it. i work on mainly stock non electronic engines.. want it it be induction not in line. thank you

I went with the Actron digital. Works well for the hobbyist.

If you can, get a dial back light. Nice Feature to have when tinkering with timing.

Yes, advance style light is a must in my opinion

I have a DIGITAL Snap On one that has the induction clip, Advance and retard controls, and also switches to RPM. I've had it for probably 30 years now.

I like because it can do both timing and advance at the push of a button, as well as being able to tell exactly how far off the timing is without turning the distributor. You can also turn the light on or off and it's pretty bright.
