Wow,6 inches are unheard of?A few years ago in my home state of New Hampshire,they had 144"........ Yes 12 feet of snow.Not all at once of course but a winter w/out at least 1 or 2 feet of snow on the ground for the whole winter season is unusual.
Australia and NZ don't have a land mass connecting them to Antarctica so any cold winds travel across the Southern Ocean. Hence we don't often get the cold extremes that you guys can get. Yes, I saw the report on TV. Imagine if a classic chevy convention was being held...:bawling:I assume no one was injured when the roof collapsed - that could have been pretty horrific if there was an event going on!
