We dont get much snow over here where we are ,( 6in is un herd of in our little city, Chris had pics of spring) . our large in door sports stadium could not handle all that snow and the roof collapsed( buggar) . We had it booked for our super chevy nationals car show next month, now they have to rebuild it.

Wow,6 inches are unheard of?A few years ago in my home state of New Hampshire, they had 144"........ Yes 12 feet of snow. Not all at once of course but a winter w/out at least 1 or 2 feet of snow on the ground for the whole winter season is unusual.
We average 100 inches plus each season here in N.E. Ohio........
Some years were lucky to see 6" all winter! But the amounts you guys are talking about, I guess thats OK!
In this part of Texas we might see 1-2" a year. Last year i believe we ended up with around 10-12" and that was weird. Yall guys that get a lot, PLEASE keep it this year.:D

We'll keep the snow and you guys can keep all the spiders and snakes your talking about.......:scared0016:

Australia and NZ don't have a land mass connecting them to Antarctica so any cold winds travel across the Southern Ocean. Hence we don't often get the cold extremes that you guys can get. But NZ is colder than Australia.
Here endeth the lesson...:happy0030:

We have had sleet in Brisbane, but rare as a F*rd lover on this forum.

Snow  Hate to see winter sneaking up on us here in the midwest
We get about 24" to 36" a season..i dont mind lookin at it just getting tired of shovelin it..makes me wonder what was i thinkin pouring a 31' x 37' ft driveway???
I was hoping to be out of the upper midwest by the time the Snow flies. But since the house hasn't sold. It looks like I'll be here for a bit longer.:dontknow:
Snow? Saw it on TV.
Seriously, I was a teenager the first time I saw real snow- It was on a school field trip. I guess since we don't have to deal with it, we love it - and take an annual winter trip to Yosemite just to play.
I assume no one was injured when the roof collapsed - that could have been pretty horrific if there was an event going on!
Those who own snow plows see each flake as a tiny dollar sign $$$...
Hi Jeff
Boy that was/is a storm, we don't get snow up where we are, we missed most of the brunt of that storm, just a bit of wind and squalls.
I guess that the city and building code authorities will now have to include snow as a loading factor for roof design! I see another building's roof collapsed as well, lucky it was the weekend.

Haven't seen snow here in the south since I moved from Indiana 7 years ago, last winter we were in Indiana and it snowed here in Florida, we missed it LOL. They said it was the first time snow was on the ground in all 50 states in a long time.
