I don't have a firewall sponge, I have the steering column rubber grommet and firewall pad...

I really don't want to have to order one, pay ~$20 for one, then ~$10 for shipping and wait weeks..
Looking for ideas on what I could use to seal up the area.
My car is not stock and so it's really about function, not form.

Thanks.

A sponge? ;) How about cutting a piece out of some black plumbing pipe insulation and stuffing it in there?

Pics? I’m not sure what y’all are talking about. I’m sure I need one too.
