Hello friends, could someone point me in the right direction on a very light weight car cover. My car has just been painted. I want to keep the flys and dust off of it while I’m putting it back together. It’s a 1955 Chevy Belair hardtop. I had one for a Camaro one time and can’t remember what it was. It just kind of draped over the car. I don’t want to have to pull hard to get it on. It’s in my garage so rain or weather will not get on it. It stays indoors at all times. Any help would be great. Thanks

I wanted a soft cover a few years back so I took a old set of queen sheets ( 1 fitted - and 1 regular ) cut the fitted in half . Then sewed each half to the ends of the regular sheet. Worked really well. So I later decided to get a nicer cover and discarded the sheet cover. I've had the new one about 6 years now and never took it out of the box. The new cover is cotton but still feels stiff and my car at the time being just painted black, I just didn't feel comfortable using it. Sure wish I had my sheets back. On second thought might have been a king size set

Depending on the time, I'd suggest it's "safer" to use the air hose and blow the dust off, rather than dragging a cover on new paint.
Just my $.02 ;)

For years I have used a "Calif Car Duster" each time before putting on cover. Duster is impregnated with a dust "grabber" (read about it on their website). Have not noticed any scratch marks on the paint.

Calif Car Cover - give them a call. My dust cover is beige color.
