I have a 55 Chevy with Vintage air and Raingear wipers. I would like to know if anyone has this combo and has a Retrosound radio? Does it fit? I know space behind the dash is very tight. I mounted a stereo under the dash and air vents in a home made console, but I would rather have an in dash radio. I need the floor space for feet. I have added kids since I built the car and now we have 6 people in the car. Thanks.

Plenty of room for the Retrosound radio but will need to support the radio with a strap to the top of glove box. Not any room for speakers under dash or in the kick panels if you use the floor air vents. I could not find a speaker that will fit in the original factory location. I think you will like the Retrosound over the Custom Audio. Gook Luck

In my 57, with raingear wipers, and all the duct work for A/C I chose the Retrosound for its small size. I'm not sure any other stereo would have fit in the cramped space I had.
