I did a refinery conversion to oilsands feedstock two years ago and had crews working on instruments / installing the aircraft warning lights on this sulpher incinerator stack..418 ft to the top..about 25 mins to climb. You wore a safety harness and methodically made your way up..beautiful view of the city from up there..i climbed it probably a dozen times:). 31 years IBEW electrician

2100 foot

Three miles west of my mother in laws home is a 2100 foot tower for tv broadcast. height designed to cover 62 county area in mid Nebraska. On a clear night member Will could probably see it from his home.

I once bid a job to refinish a copper roof 42 stories in the air, there was an 18" platform to stand on and nothing to tie off to. I bid it at $475,000. I later saw it had been done and found out a guy did it for $230,000, I guess his life was only worth only about half as much as mine. That or I was $245,000 more scared than he was.

I guess I'm the piker on heights, as I regularly work at forty feet, from a bucket truck. Friday I worked and a hundred feet, with a guy that was scared as all heck. You get used to it after a while. LoL
