I'm working on getting the e brake setup working on my 55 with a 9" rear and explorer disks. The stock explorer cables are really odd and won't work for me.

I was all set to buy the wilwood kit and was trying to swallow the $160 price they want for them. Then the next day I was back online and a link popped up for a kit from Laweta on Amazon with the same exact part number for $55. Looks exactly like the Wilwood kit and I decided to give it a try considering it's $100 less.

The kit came in and a part was missing. So I contacted amazon and they sent a replacement out. They also gave me Laweta's contact info. I told them about the missing part and told them I ordered another kit. They apologized to me and said if the second kit was missing parts they would send me a kit directly from them that would have make sure everything was in it. They were really nice to talk with, great customer service.

The second kit came in and everything was there, including a Wilwood decal. I would show you the box with the decal but my wife grabed the decal and put in on one of my tool boxes. I got curious and asked Laweta if they made the Wilwood kit and they said yes.

So if you need the cables go to amazon and save $100.

Thanks for the link. A lot of times we pay for the "name".
most mass sellers of major parts bid out contracts for manufacturing. Even things like anti freeze is produced and labeled for different companies like autozone, oreillys etc. My brother was in the grocery brokerage business for years and even canned goods like Kroger cost cutter brand might be Libbys, green giant or del monte with kroger label. Wherever they get the best price.

$160 is crazy!!! 1 year ago I swear it was an average price of $100 (which to me is still very profitable for what the end guy is getting in parts).
It seems like in the last year everyone jumped on the "it's inflation" band wagon regardless or not if their supply chain was affected and increased everything 30 to (who knows) percent.
