Well Don....Welcome to the world of TriFives....These old shoe boxes were not put in a wind tunnel and built with aerodynamics in mind :)

However, all is not lost.....New vent window rubber http://www.classicchevy.com/chevy-weatherstrip-set-vent-window-sedan-and-wagon-1955-1957.html door seals http://www.classicchevy.com/chevy-weatherstrip-door-2-or-4-door-sedan-1955-1957.html and window fuzzies http://www.classicchevy.com/chevy-window-felt-kit-4-door-sedan-bel-air-1955-1957.html will help out quite a bit.

No one that I know of makes the window fuzzies in rubber that I know of....Can't hear the wife; huh:)
