At both ends of the windshield, under the dash, there is a small rubber hose that goes down about a foot from the windshield trim and then exits through the body behind the kick panels. Looks like it might be some sort of condensation drain or something like that. Can't find anything in the assembly manual that shows this hose.

Does anyone know what these hoses do and what they are called? Curious because one of mine is broken.

Thanks for any info any of you can provide.

And that is exactly what they are there for. Not too bad to change either.

Roger, check the rear glass it has the drain seals also that goes threw the trunk and enter quarter panel. Later Bill

Are they really necessary?

I don't know if I've ever seen a windshield or backglass ever get enough condensation on the inside to where water will run.

Of course, I live in Texas and that may make a difference in the answer.
