Replacing the seal in my windshield,so I have the windshield removed,Thought it was a good time to replace passenger side wiper transmission,any tips?

You have to push in on the end of the transmission while pulling out on the wires to unwind the tension reels. Letting go of the end locks the cables out so you can remove and install them. once installed you push again on the end of the transmission and the tension reel will pull it back tight.

The wiper transmissions are rebuildable. I sent the ones for my 60 Corvette out to a guy in California. They were returned to me like new with new cables. The passenger cars look to be the same.

Shantos, Ive never rebuilt a 6 speed tranny either...but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once!
