Came across a bad accident the other afternoon and can't get it out of my mind.
I was the second or third one to stop and try and help but there was nothing we could do.
The poor women had lost control and went off the right shoulder and hit a tree broadside on the driver's side.
The tree cut the car in two, the entire front of the car was in a wire fence about 20' away.
I couldn't tell what kind of car it was, one of the other guys that stopped thought at first it was a small pickup.
I read later it was a Mazda.
I left when the EMS arrived, they airlifted her but she didn't make it.
I go by that spot almost every day, if she had been 10' further she would have slid through a very shallow ditch and across a nicely kept lawn.
Just bad luck!
Sure makes you drive more carefully.
Just a reminder to take it easy on the road!

Sorry my friend nothing like feeling helpless.
I came up on a car totally engulfed in flames and nothing I could do.
Something that stays with you.

Later,
Kev
