Well, we all know they are never really done. However, my ever expanding scope of Phase One is done. The scope creeped so far that there is no Phase Two. Just phase 1.1.

I can't say thank you enough to the members of Tri Five for all the answers, advice and patience that they have given me over the last Ten months. Never could have done it without you folks.
Saving a few things for this winter. Further tweak quarter window alignment, install seat belts, new front to rear wiring harness (the insulation seems kind of brittle) and paint the trunk interior. Still debating whether I should put on rocker trim and gravel shields. Opinions on that are welcomed.

She is running very well. Not the quietest car I have ever driven but that is okay. I just wonder how they drove and how quiet they were when you drove it off the dealer lot in 1955. Had it up to 65 and I must have gotten the Powerglide kick down adjustment correct as that is working well. Still need to get it aligned this coming week as every single component in the front steering and suspension is new or rebuilt. But, it is doing pretty well after I aligned it by eye. Just got lucky. I do have some questions regarding the the vacuum wiper and generator that I will ask in separate posts.

Her first cruise night is Wednesday and first very small show this coming weekend. Attached are some pictures.

Thanks,

Dave Charlton

Congratulations Dave, you did an awesome job. Love that color.
Thanks, Bill. It is a nice color but some might think it is a little "girlie" I bought it on consignment from a dealer. The story was (who knows) is that the seller had three classic cars but this one was his wife's favorite and this is the one they kept at home in the garage. Well, she passed away and it was too hard for him to keep looking at it. Given the color, I find that story quite plausible. The good news is my wife likes it also and she is healthy!

HT's are such beautiful cars that almost any color looks good on them, and yours is a beauty.

After it's completely 'finished', and you get bored you can always change the color to something more attractive to you. Sounds easy don't it? lol

Nice car good job. Mike

I think it's really great. Nothing the matter with a 'pretty' colour on these cars, especially when original – they were designed and made for it.
