With 2016 coming to an end I was wondering what was everyones car highlight of 2016?
For me and the wife it was the "Key West Power Cruise". We had seven days of cruising with over 100 other hot rods & muscle cars thru Flolida and down to Key West.
It was our first long haul since we put the "57"on the road 3 years ago,and we had a lot of fun with freinds and made alot of new friends on the trip.
There is alot that I could say about the trip but thats for another time.
So what was your best or worst menory of 2016???...:gba: :shakehands: SHINNY SIDE UP

Let's see, Emergency Appendectomy, no, uh maybe a helicopter ride in a Life Air? No, OH! OH! Making it another year!!! Yup, that's it.

It was fun going to the Nationals this year.
Right now, is probably the worse time. I have had cellulitis on my right foot since before Thanksgiving . Was in the hospital for a week and had surgery to save my toe. Never thought anything like this would happen to me, but now I am on the mend. Haven't worked since before Thanksgiving. I can't stand for more than 10 minutes. The job I have requires me to stand every minute I am there.

Found this Site

I have been Disabled all year recovering from Lower Back Surgery exactly 1 year ago Today!
Not able enough to work on the Car so I was looking for a Pass time that did not Strain my Back in any way.
The Company I worked for decided against allowing my return and Severed me from Employment. Plenty of Time on my hands and a New Computer to assist in my Job Search.
Found that there is little demand for a 61 year old with a Bad Back that was Severed during a Disability Claim.
This Tri Five Site has been a Positive during this Trying Time for me.
Thank all of you Guys and Gals for allowing me to take part in your world and giving me a diversion from my Recovery Issues and Pain.
For 2017 all I wish for is for the Elected Officials to allow me Some access to
Insurance that I can afford. Also in hopes of an interview for a full time job that would offer Benefits. I have not lost hope! Merry Christmas to All!

I have a few negative health item that I'm dealing with that could be mentioned, but I'll focus on the positive. 2016 represents the year that I jumpstarted Project56X that has been untouched (basically) for 7 years. Though not 100% happy with the car, I'm am grateful to be out in the garage again.

That's an easy one for me. I finally got to achieve a lifelong dream - that of owning a 1955 Bel Air. Even with her put to bed for the winter, I'm still enjoying the hunt for restoration parts and working on it in my spare time.

Merry Christmas and Happy 2017 to all the really helpful, good people on this site.

Cant really say I had one ,glad some or you did. Kinda bad for me this year . Mike

Automotive highlights have to include the restoration of my 56 4dr HT Bel Air, and the purchase of a '55 Nomad.
These don't compare with the arrival of our first Great Granddaughter, whom we babysat today.

Same here. Getting my '55 after all these years without one. Got mine in the shop right now, should be back on the road soon after the 1st of the year.
