Hey all, my wife and I are going to be in the Gulf Shores area the week of October 1st to the 4th. My question I would like to see some of the venues and car shows. It this a whole week long event? also it looks like the they have different locations going on. If anybody has ever gone before I would appreciate any information. Just trying to fit in some car shows while we are in the area.
Thanks
Tom

Each of the town's along the route hosts the cruisin venue on particular days. There is always cruising going on along the beach road. Live bands everywhere. Bestbasvice is to check the website for the schedule. Usually about 7500 registered rods and at least that many unregistered. This will be my 19th year.
The swap meet is also worth going to.

Also, the big weekend is the second weekend.
This year, they have scheduled a 2 day outdoor concert the last weekend not associated with cruisin the coast. Will be at the Gulfport harbor. I think this is likely to cause issues with the already congested traffic flow along the beach.

If you come to Cruise Central Monday through Wednesday you can see the most vehicles congregated in one place. Stamping locations start on Thursday and vehicles are spread all over the coast. Really good swap meet at the Coast Coliseum runs Thursday through Saturday. If you are still building and need parts, you can save shipping by ordering early and pick up at the show. Come on down and enjoy it with us. It should be on everyone's bucket list. I'm still building my '55 Chevy but I'm registered already with my '54 F-100. See you there, Steve

Anybody make it to CTC?

Anybody make it yet to CTC? if so please upload pics

I got called out to work, but my 57 is in the garage at Biloxi - will try to make it next weekend, but it doesn't look good.

Not sure if my son-in-law wants to take a chance crusing with my 57 or not?

Saw this at Cruise Central today. Actually looked good....

Well, there might be some pieces from a 56 Nomad grafted to the bed, but not the full sides; not sure where that 'hump' came from, but not a Nomad.. maybe a later pickup truck bedside?

It's not a Cameo, but if someone wasn't familiar with Cameos, it might be convincing.. :) It's weird, but I like the '56 passenger car taillights and rear bumper on it, and I sorta like the overall look... ?

I'm glad I'm not there, I'd be asking him 'what's the least you'd take for it?'.. :)

PS. First year I've missed being there in quite a while.....
