I have a 55 chevy two door post and I need to move top of door inward approximately 3/16"so the door is closer to the the edge of front cowl and to align with the driver's side A pillar better. There is currently too big a gap at the rear of the hood line and edge of the fender. My question is does the large phillips head bolts on the inside of door jam allow you to move the door inward closer to the body if adjusted. Please advise and thanks in advance for your input to my question!

There is also 2 bolts in the bottom of the hinge pocket that has to be loosened. The bolts go into nut plates that will allow you to move the hinge pocket in or out.
