ARE YOU LOOKING FOR PARTS ???

My son and I both have 56 2DHTs and after he bought his several months ago he needed a lot of standard parts. I ended up being the parts scrounge guy. After about a month of searching and about finished with all the little odds and ends I stumbled on:
CRAZYLIGHT'S CLASSIC CHEVY PARTS
Their parts are so reasonable and was surprised how many they had so many of the little parts most all of us can spend time finding and when we do they are expensive. This is just my opinion but check them out I think you will be surprised...

I've bought a bunch of stuff there that I couldn't easily find elsewhere, like a OEM spec '56 temperature gauge harness to convert a '55 mechanical gauge to a '56 electric gauge / sender. Right colors, insulation and everything. Really nice replacements for my rotten parking / signal light harnesses and sockets too.

Crazylights is the online name for C&P Chevy. They operated for a good many years in Kulpsville, PA and had regular walk in service hours. I dont think they do that any longer. If I remember correctly, and I may be off a bit, but it is Chuck and Patty Bustard or something close. They have been selling trifive parts for decades and had/have an excellent reputation. I was buying parts from them in the early 80s, maybe even late 70s, I forget now.

One thing I really like about them, a lot of their parts come with instructions or diagrams or copies of the assembly manual, sometimes with their notes. Its a very nice feature of buying from them.

I had not heard the names Chuck and Patty Bustard , for years, a buddy re did his whole 55 from them ( via Carlisle) in the late 70's/ early 80's, I recall they were a top of the line outfit, glad their still kicking !

I've been buying parts from C&P since the 70's and he's been sending them down under all that time.I continue to buy thru Crazylights because of what has already been said. They have a lot more stuff that is not on ebay, so if you are looking for something, just ask.

I remember C&P from years ago and used some of their stuff way before Al Gore gave us the internet. I haven't bought anything from Crazylights because the name made me think tri-five parts were a sideline at best and had no idea they were C&P. I wonder how many other people didn't know they were a good reliable supplier and passed them by?

I guess they thought they needed a more modern name. I use to drive up to their place to pick up parts. Always excellent parts. Some are still on the car after all these years. They used to have these nice little catalogs. I think I had a four digit customer number at one time.

20 some years ago Patty and Chuck divorced. C & P was no more. Chuck continued on and now only wishes to sell through eBay. He has had a ton of parts made long before most of those larger companies
came into the picture. Great guy to deal with. Over the years I have been restoring these cars I bet I have spent 50-100K with him.

Truth be told, C&P was an absolute godsend for many years as they were often the only source for some items. I just received a few parts from Chuck this past week. I will have to keep him in mind more often.

Have they though? It's been ~35 years since then. Plug the numbers in to an inflation calculator. $525 in 1987 is apparently $1267 today.
