Getting ready to install a new 383 engine and my old Hughes transmission. I had a trans cooler mounted in front of the radiator. I’m looking for info or anyone running a cooler along the frame.

I run mine up front with no issues.

Have a warmed-over 327 and TH350. Trans cooler is under and parallel to floor boards. Works fine in hot, SoCal (90-100deg) summers, don't have temp gauge on trans. On my motorcycles I run engine oil cooler partially blocked off most of year to maintain oil temp 180-190deg. Seems just additional surface exposed to ambient temp to enough.
Just some examples from Summit that are fan cooled for mounting where air flow isn't the greatest.

Just spent money on the fan/cooler setup….500cfm through the 12x9x4” is going to do something. Was going to stay traditional but I plan on a lil abuse.
