Well, it looks like my car is going to get a new set of rocker panels. Someone in the past covered the area with a "rocker cover".... covering up rust-through. I want to have the panels in-hand before I start cutting. I don't want to leave the bottom of the doors unsupported for any lenght of time.
Ecklers sells two versions ... one that they say is "more correct".

I found a couple of other rocker suppliers Danchuck and Mervs

http://www.mervsclassicchevyparts.com/57parts/index.htm#sheetmetal

By the way, the link shows a nice picture of the underfloor braces.

The car is jacked up ... two stands under the rear axle and two stands on the front A-arms so the frame shouldn't be under any odd stress.

( the guy at 57 Rustbucket.com had placed a couple of floor stands under the rear frame and caused some distortion that gave him some grief until he realized what was going on )

back to the question... Anyone bought rocker panels lately, and where ?

Thanks !!

That's funny Mike. Yep, I'd rather spend my money with someone that supports forums like this one for sure.

I need to be in the garage with "Peggy Sue".

57 Rocker Metal

I'm in the process of replacing both the inner and outer rocker panels on the
passinger side as well as the short floor braces. I got my sheet metal parts from Merv's Classic Chevy. I order from him and either meet him at one of the local swap meets, or he drop ships them to me. The ones that I have gotten are from Cars Inc. Have had good results with these pieces so far.
Merv usually can save you some with the shipping.
