The power steering in my 57 is old, worn and not really safe anymore..... given that much of it needs replacing anyhow, I am considering biting the bullet and replacing everything with a Flaming River rack and pinion system. Has anyone done this, is it worth it? Is the drive that much improved over stock power steering? Is there a comparable system I should be looking at?

Thanks!

not as good as a 500 box and a fresh front suspension, not to mention the poor turning radius. personally I see it as a waste of time and $$ for no real benefit.
