It would be a lot higher if they made "one time posters" follow the rules and post in the New Member section, but that is apparently money in their pocket, as it would be a no brainer to do.

I totally get folks who come here, post a few times, and don’t come back. They might have had a single question, maybe they don’t spend much time online, or maybe the “vibe” wasn’t for them (I’m a member on another site for my other car, and while the info is good, it’s not a super friendly place and I don’t “hand out” there much).
It is what it is. As for the new changes, or the revolving door of short term members, they don’t improve the “experience” here for me, but nor do they really take away from what I value about it. That said, I could live without the pop up ads in Spanish that kept taking over my screen while I wrote this post 😂😂

Look at the Members link on the site and scroll to the newest members to see that most have zero discussions and zero replies. Most have joined in the last 24 hours, and new members populate this page daily.

I go through the "new members " daily banning the scammers that are easily found.

The first time I saw it, I spent about 15 seconds adding it to my
filter. Haven't seen it since. And some of you also get pop up ads?
I feel it is great to participate on this site and I would consider myself now to be a regular member. As far as a contributing member, I would love to contribute more, but I can't hold a candle to the level of knowledge many have here. Sometimes I feel funny that I see I question I know something about and before I can type a response, someone else answers it and honestly usually with a better answer than I would have posted.

I am on 2 Ford truck sites, one Mustang site and 2 Mercedes sites
Then there is IATN and a Yamaha YZF site and a Polaris RZR site, one Subaru site
I have learned from them all and try to contribute
