SO i found out I have 1 piece bumpers after having to cut my bumper guards off...... Apparently the previous owner had gotten rear ended and they were loose so he tightened the nuts on and welded them solid. So after having to cut them to remove them I decided I really like the smoothie bumper looks.

So rather than spending the 170 on new guards I purchased the license plate frame with light built in from Danchuk. I plan to put it in the same spot as the original plate frame but want to make sure I can hide the wires from plain sight as best as possible. Anyone have any suggestions?

Sounds like the way i plan to wire my 3rd brake light, when i get one. I would run it with the hinge and then into the inner structure of the trunk lid to the license frame.

Sounds like a plan actually close to what I was thinking. I'm just a little weary of having to drill a hole in my trunk lid

BTW, they also had this frame with a 3rd brake light option built into it. Was a little more expensive but not too bad.

Just a thought on a 55/56 have one of the bracket bolts drilled through the center and run the wire thru in to the trunk. On a 57 drill a hole through the rubber bumper. I have a 55 trunk lid on the 57 with the 55/56 bracket. That's what I plan to do.
