It depends on the drop spindle. Some have built in caliper bracket and some use the seperate bracket and then it's a question of wheather your old bracket will fit the new spindle or the new bracket will give the correct caliper to rotor alignment. Too many variables.

Your rotors will not fit drop spindles.

I don't think there's any way the bracket will work either.

If you buy the right product, you can re-use the calipers. Heidt's can use either of the popular GM calipers that are used on stock spindle conversions.

You can buy the parts piece by piece but if you go with GM calipers they are pretty cheap. Shop around and then decide.

Most guys compare the ground clearance of the front crossmember rather than the rockers. 4-1/2" is about as low as you'd want to go for most driving.

thank u. i just mesured mine and its 5 1/4" from floor so i can't use a 2" drop spindals.have to go another route may be low profile tires .i realy want to put 18"s on my car
Hi, show us pics of the car to see the height. My 57 was on 71 Monte before I fit in drop spindle. I needed new disc rotor but the bracket stay the same. And yes,you could lower the car by the tires size...
The 4 1/2" is at the front crossmember, under the engine.
