Hello. This is my first post. I don't own a classic car, but I think I've been bit by the bug. I seem to be spending hours and hours looking at TriFives online. Is there any cure?

I live up in the Dakotas and have been looking at a couple of 4 DR 56 Chevys with V8's up in ND. They run and the prices seem really reasonable. I assume that they are a lot less in demand than the 2 DR's. Would these be a good place to start or should I hold out for a 2 DR?

Welcome to trifive. To each his own I suppose. Sometimes you can buy a 4dr a little less than a 2dr, but they are all trifives.:anim_25:

Welcome to trifive flatlander! A 4 dr can be a good starter. Just keep in mind they cost the same to restore, but at the end of the day the 4dr will not sell as well as the 2 dr.

Welcome aboard!!:sign0016:

As far as 2 vs. 4 door, get what you like, as mentioned they cost the same to build.

Glad you found us:shakehands:

Sure is a cure. Buy one. :D It doesn`t matter if you get a 2dr or 4dr, since they both drive the same and both still carry a cool factor in my opinion. Ask the 4dr owners here if there car gives them any less enjoyment when they drive it since it has more doors.

WELCOME

Welcome Flatlander. :sign0016: The pic of the 56 BA looks like a great car. In my opinion it's well worth the 10 grand asking price.
In 1955 was dating the girl who's now been my wife for 51 years. Her Dad bought a brand new 55 BA 4-door the same color scheme. Told her just recently that I wished she could still own the 55 in the same condition her dad sold it !!
The blue/white icon I use is my 55 BA HT that I got about a year ago. I really love tooling around in it

Again, Welcome to Tri-5
