Putting new tack strips in from mutton hollow before i do the new headliner. I can't see any indication that there was one by the rear window. The front window had staples holding the old one in, which i removed and used screws to install the new strip in. Does anyone have a picture showing where the tack strip goes in around the rear window? Getting the car ready to install the new interior from ciadellas

It will attach on the lip right behind the flat roofline in front of the glass rubber. Can`t understand why no indication of one existing before though. I install the new strips with contact glue and then rivets about every 8" or so.

if that strip is the thick plastic stuff.. I'd not use it. Way too thick.

We were..

Buzzard, too thick for the rear window or too thick everywhere?
able to use the pieces that went around the doors, but the window pieces were too thick.

I don't have...

How thick were those pieces Chuck?

NE of the stuff left, but AIRC it was close to 5/16"... I know it was so thick that it came close to filling the recess it fastens in to.
