Got a friend, who is not a car guy, that had an older Corvette left to him by a friend in his will. It is still at a 'shop' in Houston that his deceased friend had entrusted to them for some repairs.
From the photos I have seen, all it needed mostly was the intake manifold installed, along with distributor, carb, etc.
I am restoring a 56 of my own, 210 with a 427. I have owned this car for over 50 years.
I am really concerned for my buddy that he is going to get screwed around by this shop in Houston. We live about 4 hours away near Ft. Worth.
Have tried to get him to let me and another friend, go get the car and bring it home. My buddy is not a car guy, but he has a 3 car garage with 1 car in it. He has room to store it, and we would be happy to help him get it running.
Trying to point out to him the great value of this little vette, both in money and nostalgia and rememberance of his deceased buddy.
Any ideas??
