Going to buy either Old Air or Vintage air under dash unit. Anyone have any suggests on which one to buy. Will be going in a 55 Chevy. Will be getting heat and air unit.
I'm very very happy with my Vintage Air unit in my 56. Top notch tech support, too.

I just ordered an underdash VA hertage series at the show today. I will document the instalation. It came highly reccomended.
PS heat and air.

I haven't received anything yet, but the guy [vendor], did his dead level best to try and talk me into an in dash unit. There were excuses like your glove box becomes useless, moving gauges, a bunch of jaw time. I know what I want and I will deal with it. One thing for sure, the glove box doesn't make a heckufa lot of difference to me if it is 98* out there like it is today.

the heritage unit is a/c only right?? I installed the same thing @TheHotrodHandyman shows in his pic and moved it over enough to clear my 3 gauge pod and have full use of the glovebox and Floor shifter.

No, It is heat and air. I don't know if there is any evaporator size difference, but if they are bigger, i will post up pictures of the installation. And any bracket modifications,
