I had the charger on the 10 volt setting for about an hour then changed it to the 2 volt setting for about 5 or 6 hours. I check the battery and it was at 12.7 if I remember correctly. I took it off the charger over night and then re checked the battery in the morning. It went down to 12.5. Before I took it to get it load tested the battery was at 12.5. The car would not start. I rechecked the battery after that and it read 9.7. I jumped the battery to start the car and drove it to the auto repair place to be load tested. When the load test machine was put on the car it read 7.6 volts.

Do you mean 10 amp then 2 amp and not volts?

If so, from what I've read, looks like your dead alternator problem drained the last bit of life out of the battery.
