Well this weekend made my mind up for me. I saw all those great cars at goodguys. Lots of regal torquoise. I have about 20 weeks until autorama, and a budget of 8k to get all new paint, interior and the Bling-bling that will be needed to show it. With the purchase price of 7500 and the 500 I have spent recently will make 16k for total investment.
Projected budget is 1500 for paint materials, 2000 for interior. That leaves 4500 for bling.
I already have tires and rims, I think all glass and stainless is good.
I will keep a running expense report here.
We know you do not build a trophy contender for 16k total cost but it will be an attention getter. I will be doing all the work. I have budgeted enough for ciadella to stitch. However, if time allows I might stitch it.
For those interested I will share how I do certain things.
I almost have all paint stripped off the car with my 3m paint removing biscuit.
Will take pix tomorrow to show my starting point.
