anyone converted their 55 to an accelerator cable instead of rod and how did you do it??
I prefer this pedal. for a couple of reasons. One it offers the furthest forward mounting to give tall folk like myself some much needed leg room. It also offers a adjustable ratio.whose cable and pedal assembly to you think works the best?
A lot of money? I am not sure how much difference in costs or quality is acceptable to you. Saving 50 or 75 bucks on a part that you are in contact at all times while you drive should be a consideration to a anyone with a little common sense. Most cable kits come with another pedal that bolts up to the toeboard just like the original. Very easy install.
If you shop there are knockoffs of the Lokar setup that work just as well, and a LOT cheaper.
who builds a replica of this for $111.00?I also installed that style in my HT. They do work well but are more difficult to install.
If I can find a product that works just as well as the "name brand", for half the price, that is usually the one I buy, because I DO have common sense.
Never mind, I found one from Summit that looks exactly like the Lokar for $69... I have never used it but it does appear to offer the same design. I do not know if Lokar are a domestic part or built in Asia like the Summit piece.who builds a replica of this for $111.00?
David, that is the pedestal style mount, they do not let the peddle rest tight against the toe board like the unit I showed. They also have some weird pedal angles that just are not comfortable for folks over 6' tall like many of us.not the same design, but easier to install and works well.....
