Does ECM need VSS ?

You're going to have all sorts of codes if you use the program for a 4L60E with a manual transmission.

I don't know if those vans were available with a manual transmission. But you could probably use the program from a pickup with the same engine and a manual transmission. If they were, you want to re-flash the computer with the program from a manual transmission engine.

I think the only problem you'd then have without a VSS would be with fueling on deceleration, and that may be a non-problem. I don't know what EGR would do, you might have to disable it.
