Hey ; Does that sound like a Star-trek question ? I'm putting a 95 Astro V6 into a 55 Chevy , but I'm using a Muncie M20 trans . The van was automatic (4L60E), and I'm using the van ECM and spaghetti . (I know I'm missing out on the OD benefit , but will do that for my next project.) I'd like to get some input from other ECM users on the speedo problem ; I'm anticipating NOT using the VSS and its wiring , and just need to know the driveability will still be there ,( or will I lose the EGR function ?). (Can we fool the ECM ?) I'll be using the cable-driven speedo with the M20 Muncie , and would rather NOT use the Vehicle Speed Sensor(VSS) . Is this reasonable to assume ?
