Here's a bit of extra info.
V= Flint eng. assembly plant.
11= assembly mo. (Nov.)
08= Eng. assembly day.
You'll also find the date code next to the block cast no. on the drivers side on the ledge above the bellhousing.( Reference Handyman response post.) Good luck. Bob :bowtieb:
